Hey there, welcome to the Midwest group. Tell us a bit about yourself! Where do you live? Where do you fish? What do you like to do other than fishing? What do you remember about your first fishing rod or pole?

Live in KC but do most of my fishing on Truman Lake, Lake of the Ozarks, and Bennett Springs. On rare occasions I still get to fish down in Branson MO. also. I grew up on Truman Lake and my Grandparents lived on Lake of the Ozarks. So I go home visit & fish often as possible. My 4 year old caught his first 2 trout on my Orvis fly rod at Bennett Springs State Park in May. Have video & pictures of him in the stream using my rubber boots instead of waders (pretty cute) he loved it. He got his 1st bb gun for Christmas he said he ready to go kill a deer and eat it. So we camp, fish, hike, and eventually we'll hunt together. It's hard to connect with people up here with the same interest.

My son is only two, but I can't wait to get the fly rod into his hand. He often rides on my back in a pack, and has said "There dad," and put on a fish a few times. It's like I have a portable mini-guide.

New member living in Muscatine, Iowa. Retired and was looking for something relaxing so started tying flies and making fly tying benches for a few of my friends. Fell in love with the White River area in Arkansas and looking at maybe moving there. Doing a little fishing in N.E. Iowa in the trout streams.
