When the water starts to level or even drop (call ahead to make sure the gates are open) - think about what is in the water? Worms! Lots of them. Double worms about 4 feet deep in the back eddies and riffles are the way to roll.
Seven-day forecast:
Bugs are hard to come by with the high water right now but sub-surface should fish well. Just make sure access points are open before you launch a boat!!! And we caution folks... in this high water, trees and debris can be deadly so be sure to be mindful and alert while floating this time of year.
